What initial inputs are necessary to launch a project?

At ProTec Diagnostics, we offer fully integrated recombinant protein production services. To initiate a project, we only require the amino acid or nucleotide sequence of the target protein, or simply its UniProt/NCBI reference number. Upon request, we can perform gene optimization.

Alternatively, if you already have your own expression plasmid available, we can readily incorporate your existing material into the workflow. In such cases, you may submit the template DNA, your expression vector, or any other expression-ready construct that you would like us to work with. We will assess the construct, verify its integrity if needed, and proceed directly with protein expression and downstream processing.

Which in-house protein purification techniques are provided by ProTec Diagnostics?

ProTec Diagnostics offers you a comprehensive and customized service for the production and overexpression of recombinant proteins, utilizing industry-standard methods including affinity-based purification & mass spectrometry.

Which purification tags does ProTec Diagnostics use? Tag removal available?

The commonly used tags are His, Strep and TWIN-Strep. We offer extensive protein production and purification services, including Tag removal.

Are customized buffer conditions, concentrations, or aliquot sizes available?

Yes, customization is fully supported. We offer tailored protein formulations, including adjustments to concentration, buffer conditions, and aliquot size. Our expert team works closely with you throughout the process - from expression strategy to purification and final formulation - to ensure the product meets your experimental needs and quality expectations.

What QC data does ProTec Diagnostics include with custom protein production?

For every project, we provide standard SDS-PAGE analysis and protein concentration measurement (BCA assay). Mass spectrometry analysis is available upon request.

Do you offer N15 labeling for absolute quantification in mass spectrometry applications?

We offer isotope labeling (N¹⁵ labeling) for recombinant proteins to support absolute quantification in mass spectrometry applications. We also provide all relevant quality control data to ensure labelling efficiency and purity.
