Structure of the HYE Species Mix


Our HYE-Mix consists of a carefully balanced blend of species-specific peptide extracts and contains two components to meet the varying requirements of your experiments:


HYE Species Mix A: 

65% human protein, 30% yeast protein, and 5% E. coli protein.

   

HYE Species Mix B: 

65% human protein, 15% yeast protein, and 20% E. coli protein.


Both mixtures provide an ideal foundation for a variety of mass spectrometric applications. The balanced protein distribution enables precise analyses and helps you achieve reliable results—whether in sensitivity testing, the development of MS methods, or the quality assurance of your sample preparation.


Shipping and Storage


Based on the findings of Gaither et al. (DOI: 10.1021/acs.jproteome.1c00249), the HYE species mix was tested for the stability of the lyophilized product. The tests showed a high stability of the lyophilized product over 4 weeks at room temperature.

In summary: No significant differences observed. Therefore, we ship our species mix freeze-dried at room temperature.


Stability of the lyophilized peptide mix. Exemplary MS1 and MS2 XIC for GVTFNVTTVDTK +2. Measured on Day 1 (Experiment A, “A_”) and after 4 weeks lyophilized stored at room temperature (Experiment B, “B_”) for HYE Mix A and B in 3 replicates.
